I am truly honoured to have been elected the Labour Party Member of Parliament for my home constituency: Wolverhampton North East. An area that has always been my home, where I have raised my family and worked as a teacher and Deputy Headteacher for 25 years.

I am a proud Wulfrunian who was privileged to serve the city in the highest office as Mayoress in 2021-22 under the motto ‘Unity is strength’ raising thousands of pounds for homeless and veterans charities.

Before my election, I was Deputy Headteacher at a Wolverhampton secondary school that far outperformed expectations. As a leader, I set a culture that aligns with the values the Labour Party is built on – fighting for equality, social justice and a fairer society.

We need to fix the economy to grow the economy. Wolverhampton can make more, sell more and achieve more; we have the skills, expertise and workforce. I will work hand in hand with the City council to attract further investment and continue building ambitious projects.

I’m fighting for the people of Wolverhampton North East to raise living standards for everyone and not just the privileged few. I will continue to work tirelessly for a better, fairer future for all.
